An Administrative Panel of Inquiry, set up in November, 2017 to investigate allegations of corrupt practices against the suspended Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Mr. Mounir Gwarzo, has submitted its findings and recommendations.
Among others, the Panel which was headed by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance, Mahmoud Isa-Dutse, and set up by the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun recommended that the SEC DG be removed from public service. In addition, the committee also recommended that the embattled suspended DG refund the sum of N104.85m, which he allegedly approved and received as severance package while still in office.
