OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY LAW
A LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE STATE GOVERNMENT AND FOR CONNECTED PURPOSES [1995 No.5] [Commencement]
1. Establishment of the Office of the Secretary to the State Government
(1) There is established for the State Government of the State an office to be known as the Office of the Secretary to the State Government of the State who shall perform the duties conferred by this Law.
(2) The office shall be headed by the Secretary to the State Government, who shall be appointed by the Governor
(3) The Office of the Secretary to the State Government shall service the meetings of the State Executive Council
(4) The Office of the Secretary to the State Government shall interact with the Commissioners on correspondence and meetings.
2. Duties of the Secretary to the Government of Lagos State
(1) The Secretary to the State Government shall be responsible for the matters contained in the Schedule to this Law.
(2) The Secretary to the State Government shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by the Governor.
3. Executive Order
The Governor may by order published in the Gazette add to, vary, increase, reduce any of the functions and duties conferred on any person, office or department or body under this Law.
4. Citation and Commencement
This Law may be cited as the Office of the Secretary to the State Government Law, 1995 and shall come into force on 4th day of April, 1995.
