PUBLIC BODIES (GUARANTEE OF LOAN) LAW [Commencement]

THE LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY hereby makes this Law as follows –

1.      Power to give guarantees in respect of Loans to Public Bodies

Where any public body proposes to raise any loan locally, then, without prejudice to any limitation or restriction imposed under any law on the borrowing powers of that public body, the State Commissioner may, with the approval of the Executive Council of Lagos State, guarantee in such manner and on such conditions as he may think fit, the repayment of and the payment of any interest on or other charges in respect of such loan.
