EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM
This Act provide for the Suppression of Privacy and other Maritime Offences, give effect to the provision of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the sea (UNCLOS), 1982 the convention for the suppression of unlawful acts against the safety of Maritime Navigation (SUA) 1988 and its Protocols.
