ILLEGAL COLLECTION OF DUES IN PUBLIC PLACES (PROHTBTTTON) LAW

A LAW TO PROYIDE FOR THE PROHIBITION OF ILLEGAL COLLECTION OF ANY DUE BY ANY PERSON IN AITY PUBLIC PLACE WITHIN LAGOS STATE AND FOR CONNECTED PURPOSES.

[Commencement]                                                           [2nd November 1989]

1.      Prohibition of collection of due in public place

As from the commencement of this Law, no person must-

(a)     pay any dues or unauthorised levy to any person: or

(b)     receive, demand or collect any due or unauthorised levy from any person; or

(c)     carry out any trade union activity or other similar activity, in or around the premises of any public place within the State.
