LAGOS STATE PUBLIC SERVICE STAFF DEVELOPMENT CENTER LAW
LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE LAGOS STATE PUBLIC SERVICE STAFF DEVELOPMENT CENTRE AND FOR CONNECTED PURPOSES
[Commencement]
THE LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY enacts as follows:
1. Establishment of the Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre
(1) There is established the Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (referred to in this Law as “the Centre”).
(2) The Centre will –
(a) be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal:
(b) have power to sue and be sued in its corporate name: and
(c) be capable of acquiring holding and disposing of movable and immovable properties for the purpose of carrying out its functions under this Law.
2. Seal of the Centre
(1) There will be a seal for the Centre.
(2) The Seal of the centre must be affixed to any instrument as may be directed by the Council.
(3) The Seal of the centre will be kept in the custody of the Director- General.
3. Establishment and Composition of the Governing Council of the Centre
(1) There is established for the Centre a Governing Council to be known as the Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre Governing Council (referred to in this Law as “the Council”).
(2) The Council will consist of:
(a) a Chairman who must be a seasoned Public Administrator with relevant professional qualifications ;
(b) the Director-General;
