LAGOS STATE SPORTS COUNCIL LAW

A LAW TO ESTABLISH THE LAGOS STATE SPORTS COUNCIL TO ENCOURAGE AND IMPROVE THE STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE IN ALL KINDS OF SPORTS AND FOR OTHER CONNECTED PURPOSES.

[Commencement]                                                           [29th September, 1980]

1.      Establishment of Lagos State Sports Council

(1)     There is established a Council called the Lagos Sports Council.

(2)     The Council is a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal.

(3)     The Council may sue or be sued in its corporate name. (4)     The Council is capable of acquiring, holding, purchasing, and disposing of any property, movable or immovable for the purpose of carrying out its functions under this Law.
