LAND RATES LAW

TO MAKE PROVISIONS FOR LEVYING DEVELOPMENT CHARGES, GROUND RENTS, PREMIUM AND OTHER INCIDENTAL RATES ON ALLOCATED LAND IN LAGOS STATE AND FOR CONNECTED PURPOSES

THE LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY makes this law as follows:

1.      Payment of development charge, ground rent and premium on allocated land in the State by allottees

As from the commencement of this Law, every allottee of land in the State, whether old or new, will pay the following rates to the State Government in respect of such land in the following manner:

(a)     development charge as specified in the First Schedule to this Law;

(b)     ground rent as specified in the second Schedule to this Law; and

(c)     premium as specified in the Second Schedule to this Lau”‘
