An ACT TO ALTER THE CONSTITUTION OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, 1999 TO CORRECT THE ERROR IN THE DEFINITION OF THE BOUNDARY OF THE FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY, ABUJA; AND FOR RELATED MATTERS.

ENACTED BY THE National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria-

1.       Alteration of the Constitution

The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999(in this Act referred to as “the Principal Act”) is altered as set out in this Act.

2.       Alteration of Part II of the First Schedule Part II of the First Schedule to the Principal Act is altered in the definition of the boundaries of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, line 9, by substituting for the word “Plateau”, the word, “Nasarawa”.
