A LAW TO ACQUIRE CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND IN CENTRAL LAGOS FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES

PREAMBLE
Whereas in or about the year 1951, the former Lagos Executive Development Board under the Lagos Town Planning Act and the Lagos Central Planning Scheme made thereunder acquired a parcel of land situate in Central Lagos.
And Whereas the former Lagos Executive Development Board acquired the land for the purposes set out in the said Lagos Town Planning Act and the Lagos Central Planning Scheme made thereunder:
And Whereas the former Lagos Executive Development Board divided the said land into sub-areas:
And Whereas the Lagos State Government requires some parcel of land in the Central Lagos for public purposes:
AND WHEREAS it is expedient that doubts should be removed and that the effect of the last-mentioned requirement should be declared and confirmed:
1. Acquisition of certain parcel of land
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 5 and 8 of the Repealed Public Lands Acquisition Law, all that parcel of land in central Lagos in the Lagos Division of the Lagos State containing an area of approximately 4.682 hectares the boundaries of which are more particularly described in the First Schedule to this Law is hereby acquired for public purposes of the services of Lagos State Government absolutely and shall vest at the commencement of this Law in the Lagos State Government without any further assurance.
